But Sonny Vincent And Spite's album "Spiteful" does feature some impressive names:

Sonny Vincent - Testors- Vocals and Guitar
Rat Scabies-The Damned- Drums
Glen Matlock- Sex Pistols- Bass
Steve Mackay- Stooges- Sax

Don't know who Sonny Vincent is, but this is nicely rocked:

This is the only album by Vincent I've heard (plus a Testors comp). It's got all kinds of folks on it - Robert Quine, Greg Ginn, Richard Lloyd, Wayner Kramer, Brian James and on 'n' on.

So, Sonny Vincent has a "store" on Amazon. At the top of the page, he is billed as "The '77 NYC Punk Legend." I guess you had to be there...I've never heard of the guy, either.

And there's another one with a Damned member on board.

Dead Men Walking's been around a long time. No idea what they sound like. I'd be curious, but Fred Armisen's participation kills it for me.

In theory yes, but I think that maxim got kicked out the window once Chequered Past got together:

Actually was C. Past the first "punk supergroup"? (One could argue that Sid Vicious's Rich White Kids was the first of said groups but that seemed more like an ad hoc outfit than a "real" group).

The Rich Kids? Although Ure didn't really have any punk bonafides when he joined, coming from a Bay City Rollers knockoff. (Said knockoff, Slik, also contributed members to the Skids and Zones.) I guess Matlock was the only punk "star" when the Rich Kids launched. New & Egan weren't really on the radar yet.

Public Image Ltd.? the singer of the Pistols with a guitarist from the Clash. Wobble & Martyn Atkins were unknowns when they joined, though.

Annnnnd....here's another supergroup that's not the Split Squad or the Empty Hearts that does feature Clem Burke:

The International Swingers

Dude must hate having down time. Does Blondie work so little these days?

Thanks for that Michael. So it's Clem, Glenn Matlock (another popular guy) and James Stevenson, who I had to look up. I'll spare you-all the trouble: he was in Chelsea, late Gen X, Gene Loves Jezebel, the Alarm, The Cult; another boy who seems to play well with others. Don't know the singer, but he's an Aussie, so maybe Aitch can fill us in.

Not bad sounding '77-style punk (not surprisingly), but nothing too inspired. Lyrically, the way that these senior citizens uphold classic virtues like crime sprees, guns, and Jayne Mansfield is almost touching. (But considering what wimps kids are these days, maybe not.)

Ah. He was the singer for Supernaut who's big hit was I Like It Both Ways and I'm not sure if it went beyond these shores. They decided to catch the punk vibe, changed their name to The Nauts and kind of vanished.
