Google can't help with this, so I'm asking it here: I distinctly remember reading an interview about a 90's-era band (on Sub Pop or T/K or one of those Northwest-regional labels at the time) that was touring and one of the band members stopped in a brick-and-mortar magic shop and continued with magic once the label dropped the band and the band split. I cannot remember what band or who it was. They were either from LA or Seattle if it's the interview I remember reading.
