I'm visiting Colorado Springs this week -- perfect timing for my sister and me to catch a gig last night by The Rat Bastards. Five musicians, all vets of the COS college/underground rock scene, put this one-off together "to resurrect the ghost dance of the Eighties," as guitarist/vocalist Chuck Snow put it. The groove was ragged, but just right. And it was cool to see some of my old college friends there.
