Dear Spotify: Shut up about the damn Style Council!!!!

Almost every recommendation Spotify gives me is "You listened to the Style Council. Would you like to try Prefab Sprout?" or "You haven't listened to 'My Ever Changing Mood' in while. Listen now?" or "You listened to a song by Nick Heyward. Now listen to the Style Council!"

They're constantly sending me messages in their in-application email about "Did you know such and such by the Style Council is available? Give it a try!"

I like the Style Council just fine, but I really have no idea what I ever said to Spotify to make it think I'm obsessed with them. To be honest, I'm getting kind of sick of hearing about them.

It's like Spotify has become one of those annoying co-workers who won't shut up about the cute thing their damn dog did over the weekend, until you get to the point where you're ready to call the pound to come take the animal away.

Maybe Mick Talbot is behind Spotify?

@ the risk of one of us sounding naive, i reckon if paul were here instead of over there right now he'd say, I'm passionate about loads of things. 'and making a bloody racket is one of them'
