Delvin, I'm curious. When you play a song in honor of someone's b-day, when is that person's b-day in relation to the day of the broadcast? Are all the b-days on the day of the show?

It's in relation to the day of the live broadcast. Since my show spans two days, I have twice as many birthdays to consider, potentially. (If someone's birthday is on Tuesday, I don't give tribute till after midnight.)

I limit this to artists whose music fits into my show, of course -- even if it takes a cover version to make it fit. And I limit these tributes to artists who still are alive, except in the most significant cases. The next installment of 20FR falls on the date of Buddy Holly's death, so I'll probably give a bit of a tribute to that. (No, I won't play "American Pie.")
