Mojo Nixon's "Don Henley Must Die" comes to mind, too, even though it came out on Enigma.

Lennon and McCartney's back-and-forth mudslinging e.g.: "How Do You Sleep" and, um, I forget the others...

Would this include Sweet Home Alabama's swipe at Neil Young? Wasn't the whole song, tho.

Not sure how many of these "15 anti-Smiths/Morrisey songs" were on majors, but the Pet Shop Boys probably were.

Supposedly Stevie Wonder's "You Haven't Done Nothin" was about Nixon.

That 'you suck my blood like a leech' song on Queen's "Night At The Opera" that was supposedly about one of their managers or sumthin.

Isn't there also a song called "Bye Bye Glenn Frey"?

Supposedly Martha Wainwright's song "Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole" is about her dad Loudon.

Spoon's "The Agony of Laffitte" is a direct assault on their former Elektra A&R man.

"Supposedly Stevie Wonder's "You Haven't Done Nothin" was about Nixon." As was (again, supposedly) "He's Misstra Know-It-All."

And, of course, Marvin Gaye's entire album Here, My Dear is about his ex-wife. Similarly, Let's Get It On is essentially about (or, probably more accurately, inspired by) the young woman who replaced her.

At least a third of Half Man Half Biscuit's early repertoire disses people by name:

In fact, their (relative) popularity's decline seems to parallel a reduction in the number of such references. But they still knock off the occasional good one, such as "Styx Gig (Seen by My Mates Coming Out of A)," "Joy Division Oven Gloves" and the album title Achtung Bono.

I would like to point out that the entire Eagles canon is a diss to all humanity, both within and without hip hop. I hope this helps.
