When it comes to the Holy Minimalists, I've always preferred Gorecki or Arvo Part, but Tavener was a close third. Never knew he'd once been signed to Apple.

That was a fascinating thing, that the Beatles signed him. And then he got sidetracked by commissioning an Orthodox liturgy? I never knew his stuff the way I did Gorecki's. Part I never listened much to, although I recall Michael Stipe raving about his work.
