Phil Chevron has died

Member of Radiators from Space and the Pogues.......wrote "Thousands are Sailing" and "Lorelei." Just...god damnit.

The Pogues in concert in '88 or '89 remains at the top of my list of best shows I've ever seen.

A sad loss. I never saw The Pogues, but their albums definitely hold their magic.

Sad news. I never saw them either. That Lorelei song was my ex's favorite. My favorite was always Down All The Days about Christie Brown. All in all, that Peace and Love record is under-rated. Great shit.

Very sad news, indeed. RIP.

Shane, of course, continues on . . . outlasting most projections.

I knew this was coming, as there have been reports about his declining health the past few months and there was a testimonial concert for him, but still, this breaks my heart.

I saw the Pogues in Houston at Numbers during the Peace and Love tour. Chevron sang both "Blue Heaven" and "Lorelei." It was already one of the best shows I'd ever seen, but now I'm doubly glad I was there.
