And what the hell, here's "Lifeguard Dan," a song that the author of that article (and myself) are kind of "eh, whatever" on, but the video is pure 1980.

It's posted by the vocalist, Debbie DeNeese, who has 31 other videos posted. I had hoped there would be more band videos, but no, they're all footage of peacocks, chihuahuas and a kid shooting guns.

Wow. I remember reading about these guys in Dogfood, my local Orlando "New Wave" music paper. Local acts they could write about were few and far between ca. 1979. I never heard them, though I remember seeing the album in the bins. But wow, the description of the album being non-stop energy and invocation of the Rezillos makes it sound like I need to buy a copy! The most high-energy album in my collection is the Revillos' "Rev Up," which starts at "frenzy" and builds from there.
