Holy God, I have loved the Lanois song for years without knowing the Wasaga Beach reference - I thought it was "Watching the beach, First of July". Which I totally understood as reasonable, since I have been in Victoria BC on the beach watching fireworks on Canada Day. Thanks for the fact-check!
