I saw that - nice piece.

I also saw Rain Parade recently at Austin Psych Fest. There's a new Three O'Clock retrospective about to come out (The Hidden World Revealed) and that band reunited to play Coachella. Are we looking at a Paisley Underground revival?

Thanks for that link, Aitch. It's so weird seeing my youth being part of history. I kinda wish I'd paid more attention, gone to more shows, saved more things. Me and my friends would just listen to Rodney, maybe go to shows at places like the Lingerie sometimes, and go about our lives. We didn't know it was this historically important scene. It was just fun.

Kinda like how you can hear the crowd chatting during the Velvets live at Max's album. They weren't like: "Holy crap, we're seeing the actual Velvet Underground!" It was just another night out.

On a sidenote: did you notice that the article substituted Britsh words into the interviews? Like "advert" and "carpark." Do they think British readers wouldn't know what an 'ad' or a 'parking lot' is?

i heard steve & the miracle3 via the absolutely sacred MNNF while driving around town the other day. stoked at the time but now i wonder if the band was already here and i missed em? chalk another one up for the culturally depraved. i probably had to work anyway. whatevers, its very cool just to be at a place i can talk about it.
