I know it was a month ago, but this is important. Jess Franco, prolific filmmaker whether in or out of the public eye (mostly out) AND jazz musician, died back in April. Bought the soundtrack to Vampyros Lesbos decades ago and it is still infectious. He made around 160 movies, most with barely any financial backing, and put sultry starlets on the map such as Soledad Miranda and Lina Romay, both of which have passed on, I'm sorry to say. So take that, Warhol!
