Wouldn't the Ten Worst IRS Items have been more apt?

Perhaps I need to give Cypress another listen? I've spent the last two decades under the impression that Big Plans For Everybody was the best Let's Active album.

Both of those albums are:

1.) Out of print (right?)
2.) Mighty rare in the used bins.

You probably have no idea how much that ticks me off. The only Let's Active CD I own is the last one. Waaaaaaaaaaah!

I agree that BPFE is the best Let's Active album, but that's not a commonly held opinion.

Collector's Choice reissues all the LA stuff several years ago, but you're right: Cypress (which added Afoot) and BPFE are indeed OOP. I quite like Every Dog Has Its Day, but it's inexplicable that that's the only LA record still in print.

Any Let's Active album would be acceptable as the best. I'm partial to Cypress for the song "Easy Does," which manages to cram more hooks into a single song than some bands manage in their entire careers.

And if the list opened up to IRS' sub-label PMRC, then the Balancing Act and Adrian Belew's Bears would also make the list.

While I never really liked Wall of Voodoo too much, I appreciate them enough not to object to their presence in the above lists. But The Truth's Weapon of Love is unlistenable tripe, something I would only remember now because at some point in the last few months I bought a copy for, like, a quarter, and as I played it I remembered why. What a waste of 25¢.
