I'm intrigued. Though these days it seems like T Bone will work with anyone.

I've never bought into the "Mayer is a guitar god" thing, because it always seemed to me that he was just recycling Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan (his admittedly biggest influence) licks. But I keep hearing from unbiased sources (i.e. ones that hate his songs and personality) that he's actually a very imaginative player. Maybe he needs to join someone else's band for a while and learn some humility.

Wow, that's way more effort that I ever wanted to put into talking about John Mayer. I will now hang my head in shame.
