trading OOP stuff

Hey everyone,

as i'm sure all of us have noticed, many way too awesome recordings are now OOP and priced ridiculously on ebay, half, amazon, etc. you look for them on itunes, and they're not there either. can anyone suggest another place to look that might be easier to track down recordings and not pay next months mortgage?

on that same note....would anyone want to trade copies of OOP cd's or know a good site where you can?

i'm looking for the first two by the Raincoats, the Pop Group, Konk, Lisa Descloux, Rip Rig & Panic, the Feelies 4th one, the Bongos (2 on 1), and that's just this week.

Lizzy got reissued, but out of print again, i'm pretty sure. i have the bongos vinyls too, but mastering it all is just too much work right now.

Feelies 4th being "time for a witness"

there's a Yahoo Message Group for OOP's

i would think that would be the search criteria

Soulseek is great for OOP obscurities.

Check the mp3 blogs. There's a ton of 'em, like

Strange Reaction
Lost Bands of the New Wave Era
Post-Punk Junk (probly the best of the bunch)
The Punk Archive

Others throw in some alt classics every now and then, like:

CrudCrud
Cake and Polka Parade
