Has anyone heard the new album? I listened on Spotify...the music is as bonzo as the title would suggest. He's definitely not aiming for radio play. Think Dirk and Kings of the Wild Frontier, but weirder, if possible. I was hoping Marco Pirroni would be involved, but whoever plays guitar is able to recreate his style closely enough.

Wow! Will check it out. I saw much to my surprise that's he playing Coachella, same day as Lou Reed and David Byrne.

Marco Pirroni was in the reformed Department S last I heard.

That alone makes it worth hearing, IMO!

I like it! It's not much like Kings, though, at least not rhythmically. But it's got the weird/goofy streak that I loved that album for ... and some pretty good songs. Worth hearing.

Tour dates for the old boy, too! For those of us who can never get enough Eighties damage.

Hmmm ... Reno (the person, not the city) has made me more aware of how so many touring acts give the Midwest short shrift on tour — how they often treat Chicago as the only city they "have to" cover. Interesting that Adam is hitting markets in Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio, but skipping Chicago.
