I saw that this morning and my wife, bless her, was trying to see how we could afford the hop over the pond. But barring generous unsolicited donations from my regular blog readers, it ain't gonna happen. Just as well. Though I have several hundred records by Foxx and OMD, I saw OMD on their last tour with VIP tix and if I am going to drop 5K or more to see Foxx + The Maths, they had better be headlining. But I can hardly imagine two of my core collection bands from the inner circle that I like better touring together. Okay, so OMD and Simple Minds teamed up a few years ago in Blighty... But Foxx trumps Simple Minds. There… I said it. As much as I worship at the alter of the first 6 SM albums, there's the, uh, aftermath to deal with. The only Foxx record I didn't like was the 2nd Nation 12 single... and The Maths are a late career peak for him, as far as I'm concerned.
