Willie Nelson releases gay cowboy song. Is this the new musical zeitgeist?

Ha ha! "Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly (Fond of Each Other)" may be the first gay cowboy song by a major recording artist." And it's available on iTunes - yes!

Oh, thank you so much for this. And I thought Willie's reggae album was kinda kooky. He's really going off the deep end. Keep smokin', Willie!

You're right, Willie Nelson is kooky. . . But I can't quit him.

The Reverend Horton Heat beat ol' Willie by a decade, with his song "Cowboy Love" (from *It's Martini Time*). Granted, the Rev's song is a big joke.

This is the thread that should be labeled "cash in". Which it obviously is.

What's all the fuss about anyway since everybody knows that there have been gay cowboys since as far back as the Village People !......Not sure how to fill in the blank for Delvin's question, but my first instinct is "Gay Cowboys : The new male flight attendents". Not that there's anything wrong with that. smiling smiley

Ipods?

Yep, it's a "cash in"...man's got income taxes and alimony to pay and weed to buy. If it means resurrecting an old novelty song that he didn't even write, so be it. Willie's old enough not to have to give a damn, I guess.
