The Belle Brigade

Has anyone heard much about this band? I heard this song...

...between sets at a local club recently and was so struck by it I had to ask the sound man what he was playing. It walks right up to the brink of being cloying , but I have to admit I find the harmonies and simple self-deprecating lyrics irresistible.

They have an eight-minute Bob Dylan cover on the Amnesty International compilation that is nice. It made someone's (cannot recall whose) list of best songs of the year.

Thats an excellent song. I am not so sure I like the arrangement or the vocal overlay thing but...great lyrics and not to sweet.

Modern country music probably has a lot of these types of good songs but they are hard to ferret out.
