Could you change my order to a seismic on the Dead?

Please put "The Eagles and associated artists" on tick #9.

For me the Dead is at 10. Doobie Brothers probably at 9.

- 1 Mild dislike: Ryan Adams (the man, not the music); overzealous Wilco fans; Stephen Malkmus

- 2 Dislike: Bruno Mars; Fiona Apple; the weird Fiona Apple mania that has taken hold this year

- 3 Definite aversion: Technically proficient but boring as goatfuck guitar wankery ala Steve Vai or Joe Satriani; Magnet magazine (I didn't realize how much I really didn't miss the oh! so cool columns by professional sourpusses like Phil Sheridan and Andrew Earles until the mag resumed publishing. I'm more than ready for it to go under again.)

- 4 Pronounced aversion: Barenaked Ladies; Asylum Street Spankers; self-satisfied comedy/party bands in general (I don't include Weird Al in that, as he doesn't seem to go through life with a self-amused smirk on his face. Plus, he's actually funny.)

- 5 Strong Aversion: Gavin Degraw; Jason Mraz; Colbie Caillat; the rest of that ilk

- 6 Mild loathing: Most Lucinda Williams post-The Album Which Shan't Be Named; most of what passes for the Blues these days

- 7 Outright loathing: Counting Crows; Maroon 5; jam bands

- 8 Definite hatred: Scott Weiland; Jimmy Buffett

- 9 Seething hatred: Nickelback; the "kids" from Glee; holier than thou self-appointed indie credibility cops

- 10 Seismic hatred: John Mayer; Train; The Album Which Shan't Be Named

I used to hate Styx, Journey, et al, but nowadays I don't get too worked up over them one way or the other. For me, hating on them in 2012 would be like getting mad at tv because of My Mother the Car.

Probably because some of us don't watch American Idol and would think you were talking about (Roger) Daltrey.
