I saw that too and, while it didn't make me feel like I'd need to own all 5 of those first albums on CD (have 'em all on vinyl still), it did inspire me to go to eBay and find a cheap CD of Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call, which were always my favorite albums of theirs.

I haven't seen the Minds live in person, but due to the wonder of the Internet, I've viewed plenty a live clip of the band from recent years.

My assessment is this...Kerr is into it, he's trying, but he just doesn't deliver those early songs in a way that is remotely convincing. He now croons them in a way that sounds like bad cover versions. He used to bark out the vocals in a way that fit their oblique subject matter. Just find a recent clip of "30 Frames a Second" or "I Travel" and tell me I'm wrong.

On the other hand, Burchill and Gaynor can apparently still bring the goods.
