An exciting announcement! (Well, to me, it is)

Starting Thursday 28 July, I'll have a regular DJ shift on KRCC. I'll be on the early shift, midnight to 2:00 AM.

I certainly don't expect anyone here to tune in, unless they're on the graveyard shift, or have insomnia. (Or perhaps if they live across the ocean from me.) But I want to thank all my TP comrades for such kind support and encouragement.

BTW, I'll still be on as a sub from time to time, probably on more time-amenable shifts. Tonight, I'll be covering the jazz show again, at 8:00 PM Mountain Time. And next Tuesday, the 19th, I'll handle the evening music mix at 10:00 PM MT.

Somehow, I doubt it. That's what my wife calls it when I try to fart without her hearing it.

Thanks for sharing. In addition to the advice about payola (which never died, but just went underground), I recommend you task a trusted intern with keeping a well-stocked goldfish bowl full of No-Doz in the booth. Your guests will appreciate it.

My experience is, staying awake during those shifts has not been a problem. Once I'm in the booth, the adrenaline keeps me going. Don't even need caffeine.

After a while, though, I imagine that'll change. But thanks.
