Great List. Mine would be quite similar but I would have to find room for .....HORSES, ROCKET TO RUSSIA, LAMF, SQUEEZING OUT SPARKS, SO ALONE, EVEN SERPENTS SHINE. Pere Ubu and possibly the Jam would show up as well ......ah, good times.

Both Pagans and Clash-London Calling were "80s disqualified".
Not sure how Jam, Big Star, etc. missed out.
Mostly surprised by absence of Horses.
Ony two from 1976; a leanest of years, but really, what else mattered but gabba gabba?
13 from 77 and 79.

Horses came out in '75, (hence the recent 30th anniversary re-release) so it was all well and good that it was not on the list.

I think London Calling actually came out in mid-December '79, but most people consider it a 1980 album.
