What are the best albums that have resulted from a combination of an artist/band from one country and a producer from another?

M. Johnson's thread about best completely "home-grown" albums/artist catalogues made me think of this. (My apologies, MJ, if you were planning to go to this topic and I stepped in ahead of you.)

Hmmm....how about Eno producing the first Devo album? Dunno if he's considered the producer of Remain In Light, but if so, that's gotta be on the list.

R.E.M. – Fables of the Reconstruction
Joe Jackson's early classics (from Look Sharp! up through Big World)
The B-52's first two albums
AC/DC – Highway to Hell, Back in Black, For Those About to Rock
Peter Gabriel (1st album, So)
U2's first three albums
The Cars' first four albums
Robyn Hitchcock – Spooked
David Bowie – Let's Dance

Just the ones that come to mind.

Midnight Oil's albums produced by Warne Livesy and Nick Launay.

I suppose we could make a very large list of British producers working on albums by Scots, Aussie, Irish, and American artists.

Except for the piano on "I Wanna Be Your Dog," I've often wondered how much of a collaboration it really was. It always sounded to me like Cale just showed up and got the hell out of the way.
