Perspective

Listening to Bob Mould's Body of Song this morning. As others have noted, it is pretty hit-or-miss, but I'd say more "hit: than "miss"...and "Paralyzed" is top-notch. Seriously.

So, five years after the fact, I must admit to actually liking this album overall. It's grade B Bob, which on a sliding scale, beats just about everyone else's grade A.

I dig Body of Song a lot, and the tour he did for that album was awesome. Life and Times is pretty strong as well, especially if you like BoS.

It's District Line I don't much care for. The songs just don't stick. I find it odd that All Music gives it 4 1/2 stars and rates higher than just about everything else in his catalog.
