A truly depressing start to the day

I stopped at the grocery on the way to work. The PA system was playing a lite/Muzak version of "Get Up, Stand Up."

Got that beat. I once heard a lite/Muzak version of No Woman No Cry.

Okay, I concede that to Hoip. Jeez, just reading his post depresses me.

I can remember reading an article in a copy of SPIN back in the day and the writer made passing reference to an old LP of Muzak versions of Bob Dylan tunes.

I would kill to own that recording. Don't think I'm not still looking.

Now I'm thinking of Jesus Lizard tunes done in that style. Imagine hearing "Nub" while getting a cavity filled!
