Surely the Doc Savage series is the greatest untapped resource for great band names in existence. 181 novels and every title is an acceptable band name.

Why anyone would settle for a flat, uninteresting band name like Grizzly Bear (just to name one off the top of my head) when there are names like the following just sitting there waiting to be used is beyond me. And these are just the tip of the iceberg:

This one made me snicker.

I have to say I am over silly band names. The AV club's annual list didn't even get a guffaw out of me. I guess I am also over stupid names to like Grizzly Bear - Dearhoof-Wolf Parade.

Chigger, my personal fave is "Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have The Key."

I better pick up a guitar and learn a few chords because my band's gonna be called:

And totaji, I gotta rent a copy of Vice fast. That title I can't pass up!
