It, erm, comes faster than that. i've been pleasantly surprised by the alacrity of Lulu's service.

I ordered a copy on Wednesday, November 4th and rec'd the book on Monday, November 9th.

By the way, I'm about 40 pages from the end and have enjoyed the read so far. I am interested in seeing how all the pieces fit together.

One supposes the author's primary question is whether working to change the system from within (or simply exploiting it) is more effective than attempting to destroy it altogether. Not to get too academic, mind you...

Hey guys, excuse me a sec while I talk a little nerd talk to Ira....

Ira, your message board software (Phorum) filters out HTML code from posts and only allows minimal markup codes (formatting, hyperlink, image, etc.) using BBcode.

The code you posted is for an "embedded Shockwave object widget." Objects embedded in a web page can act like full-on programs that can do, well, virtually anything, so any sanely written message board software will not allow a user posting to contain that sort of code. There's way too much opportunity for mischief.

If you want to put an embedded object in this message board you'll probably need to alter one or more Phorum templates, the things that define how these pages look.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming....
