Hey!
I've just discovered Grant Hart is visiting our shores and playing a gig just up the road from me.
Has anyone seen him play a gig of late or for that matter, has anyone listened to his most recent platter? (I think it's called Hot Wax or something similar). I've only ever owned and listened to Intolerance and a couple of Nova Mob song on compilations.

I have a couple Nova Mob albums. They're intense. Never seen him play live though. Playin down the road from you, huh? Wish I was in your shoes!

I saw some YouTube stuff from some recent gig...all acoustic. Do you know if he's touring with a band or not?

I haven't seen him play since I saw a Nova Mob gig...god, 17-18 years ago?

I have heard the new record, though. It's pretty good - a lot like Intolerance, in fact.

According to the Green Room Music Source bloke, Craig, "This will be just Grant, playing electric guitar and of course singing songs from the new record, older solo selections, Nova Mob and Husker material as well. It's a nice show."
He even said to come and say hi.

Turned out to be a great night. Heaps more noisy than I expected (no worries there) and as he hadn't been here before, it was a fairly even spread, though, curiously, he played a lot of stuff off Warehouse which didn't bother as I've always had a bit of a soft spot for it. The Hot Wax stuff
sounded pretty good too.
Nice touch with the supports, all members of noisy 3 piece bands from the 80s-90s doing solo sets
Blackie (Hard Ons), Tim Steward (Screamfeeder) and Simon Day (Ratcat).

Heard his song, You're The Reflection Of The Moon on the Water. It's pretty intense.
