Just go. Haven't heard the new album or seen them ever, but I cannot imagine it being a show you don't enjoy.

I've seen them twice on this current jaunt, including a show before the tour started and a show just a week ago. They're terrific. The show is a near-perfect balance of tunes from the new record (which just gets better every time I hear it) and the first one, with a few gems from One Day It Will Please Us. (Nothing, strangely, from Too Much Too Soon.) A friend of mine who was familiar with them but had never seen them before described David Johansen as "rock & roll personified." I can't recommend this show highly enough.

Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears are great, too. Basically James Brown-style soul music with skronky blues guitar solos and a sense of humor (NOT a parody). They make a good pair. When I saw them, Syl Sylvain joined the Honeybears on stage for their last number.

My brother saw them in OKC last week. Said it was an incredible show, and he doesn't care for the new album. He also said Joe Lewis was a great opening act.

I would've gone, but I hate crowds, these days.

saw them in Whorelando last week, couldn't agree more or add anything to Toland's spot on comments.

Go. Just don't expect them to encore with "Hot, Hot, Hot."
