Listening to The Beat and Freedy Johnston. I'd crank up something with more octane but the wife is mostly fueled on Jazz and 'tween the cloying afternoon heat and powerful aural CNS stimulation she'd probably stage a mutiny of HMS Talon Way.

Avoid. Discretion is the better part of valor.

Update: Moondog works too.

Hoisting a few and listening to the Replacements .......what a wonderful world it is, eh Steve-o?

It's a special band that goes equally well with Steve's fancy schmancy imported beer or the homeless man's MD 20/20 that's for sure.

Today's playlists for me has been the Faces (drinking seems to be the theme of the day) and also some newer stuff - Pete Doherty solo record and A.C. Newman.

Since it's baseball season, I'm covering all the (musical) bases.

Link fucking Wray: tougher than the Stooges, "punk rock" and all that followed him way behind. (Frankly, a few decades ahead of all that shite.) mats84 wrote:

I've been listening to the Purple Chick editions of the Beatles.

A Hard Day's Night made me happier than I've been in a while.

Also, walked around and listened to an excellent Van Morrison Live in Europe 2003 bootleg.

Been listening to a lot of Art Bergmann lately. New Bob Mould is good, too - a lot better than the last one.

I've been listening to Beach House. No shouting out, please. No running.

Also opened my CD player today and found (((GASP))) the second disc from the Coltrane set I returned to the library a few weeks ago. The librarian was very nice about it. She waived the fee! Maybe she saw my "ILVTOFU" plates when I pulled up in the parking lot.

I'd returned the thing on time, after all
