website problems

Anyone else get that error message when they tried to check the site earlier today? I thought maybe Ira forgot to pay the bill. Maybe I oughta go buy some more sweatbands at the TP merch table....

I think STEVE's unorthodox syntax finally overwhelmed the server.

I confess I was the last one to use it. I think I broke it. Sorry.

Yeah, the site was unavailable for several hours. I emailed Ira to let him know.

Frankly I was pretty scared. I thought maybe the Madoff scandal had brought down another victim.

yeah, that was wacky. never did find out the why, just got it sorted out.

The first rule of the TP website problem is that we don't talk about the TP website problem. The second rule of the TP website problem...

The site was down again for most of today and indeed it said the account had been suspended. Seriously, Ira, do you need us to start paying a monthly fee? It's better than cable, goddamn.

You wouldn't happen to be hosted by Register.com, would you? MY site was also down for a large part of the day today...

it's not about the money. the first time we went offline it was the result of my clumsily trying to access an ftp that is part of the hosting package and causing it to shut down as a result. i have not yet found out why it happened today. but i shall. thanks for your patience and concern.

right. and speaking in terms of patience i also agree that when actually exercising the thing (colon? period.
language can be very physical cain't tit?
in case i lost some of few, the "thing" being patience, is that it helps to think in terms of weeks when sorting out the stuff that makes one... uh, "concerned"

shit, take me for instance.
i try to be patient n all.
I mean like i don't even know what the date today is

You appear to be mistaking patience for consciousness.

exercising the colon thing?

so that's what brought it down? geez, a guy disappears for a few months and the corner bar assplodes.

I skipped some winter in the Amazon and then revisited my old Berlin haunts for a spell - enough to convince me to take the crisis off and move back - cost of living's still a fraction of NYC in spite of the all the other Americans who've seemed to have 'discovered' it in the meantime.
Plenty of liver push-ups and my lungs can barely handle normal oxygen now, but if I can get this internets thing worked out there I shall extend my glass more regularly from abroad.

Prost!

Well, the message board's back (brilliant deduction, Sherlock!)

The reviews aren't tho.

The hamsters' wheel that powers this site has been slowed - you feeding them enough, Ira?

Sadly, I am losing faith. What's going on with the site?

sorry sorry sorry. this has been a sequence of unrelated but unfortunately coincidental issues that really conspired against the smooth sailing of the ship. we're coming back, promise, but it will take a few more days.
