worst beer ever

i'm now drinking a miller 64 as others around me worry about their livers.
this shit ain't doing their livers no good folks.

As i drink it i feel as though I've burrowed beneath a port-O-let and siphoned the remnants into a bottle...any bottle.
god...(male or female)
PRAY for me.
I'm actually getting sober drinking it!

Well, I dont want to name a specific brand but I will state the following basic axiom:

Any beer with berries in it (blueberry, cherry, etc) is worse than any beer without berries in it.

By this criterion, Miller and O'Douls are still better than an entire genre of "craft brews." Also, rauchbier, that genre of bacon-flavored beer that Germany inflicted on the world is quite vile. Give me an Old Milwaukee anyday

oh wait, there was one even worse that "BEER"...

Y'know, it's probably not the worst beer ever, but I, for one, have never enjoyed Heineken. And I find Amstel Light to be refreshing, if not especially good.

Given a choice between Miller, Berry Beer, "Beer" or Heineken, I'd opt for the first 3 (in quick succession) before the fourth.

They do a good job with advertising and packaging, however, those Dutch (brew)Masters...

I've met plenty who would agree with Nosepail's Axiom, but respectfully, I don't. I've had plenty of excellent fruit beers, both homebrewed and mass-produced. A good Belgian kriek is like heaven in a glass, IMO. And a summer isn't complete to me without brewing at least one batch of cherry ale.

Agree with Jermoe about Heineken, though. I'm not crazy about most imported beers. It's a dirty secret: most beers just don't travel very well. The only good Heineken I've had was in Holland. (And I bet the only good Fosters to be had is in Australia.)

And I shun any beer that bears the Miller brand. Steve has elucidated the reason just fine.

Now if Miller just put out a Cherry Lambic, we would have a clear winner.

As for bad mainstream beer, we seem to be ignoring the elephant in the room: Corona.

If Corona is the elephant in the room that we're ignoring, then Schlitz must be the elephant that's taking a shit in your lap while you sit on the couch watching TV.

re Schlitz: Delvin, that elephant shit is not landing in your lap, my friend.

Agree with Nose about the wretched prospect of Miller Cherry Lambic. Beware of any "lambic" beer you find on the store shelf that's not brewed in Belgium. Sam Adams markets a Cranberry Lambic that's just plain nasty.

Good point, Erik. That would explain Schlitz's flavor.

Iron City Beer – The Beer Drinker's Beer

Schaeffer – The Beer to Have When You're Having More Than One Beer
