and i think his greatest legacy will be his criticism and his sensitivity to world lit

that being said: his maple stories are my fave marriage fiction in any lang

and that includes revolutionary road (a GREAT book)

It is nice that people are suddenly discovering Richard Yates' book--he risked sinking into obsolescence for many, many years.

strange.
i just plucked redux from the hotel lobby shelf last week.
some prof from manchester lancashire & his wife were bicycling through (the entire state!) said that it was for guys with grandkids.
