Where are the Scratch Acid guys?

Hello,

Anyone know where the Scratch Acid guys are? Haven't signed into myspace since 2006 but SOMEONE must know where they are!

David Yow (vox) and David Wm. Sims (bass) formed Jesus Lizard, as I'm sure you know. Yow is a graphic designer specializing in retouching photos when he's not doing Lizard reunions. I think he's still in Chicago. Sims is an accountant in NYC.

Guitarist Brett Bradford plays in a couple of local Austin bands, Sangre De Toro and Areola 51 (neither of whom are particularly active, though they still pop up occasionally). Not sure what he does when he's not playing.

Drummer Rey Washam has played with tons of bands, including Ministry, the Didjits, the True Believers, Rapeman, Helios Creed and an Austin jazz band called Euripides Pants. He lives in LA and now plays with a band called the Radishes.

Yow also is or was in a band called Qui that put out an album with him on vox last year and was pretty decent. Seems like I read about some disastrous live shows with him basically turning into a drunk, old parody of his former feral self.

He's supposedly been on form at the Lizard and Scratch Acid reunion shows, but I wasn't present at any of them and can't confirm that.

Sad to see Rey Washam (for my money, one of the best drummers anywhere - Two Nuns and a Pack Mule has the greatest drumming ever committed to vinyl) in a band citing the Hives as an influence and touting a producer for their new album whose credits include Stevie Nicks. Guess the dude's gotta pay the bills somehow.....

I'd sure like to catch one of those JL reunion shows. Back in the day, they were one of the best live shows anywhere, even if I did find myself uncomfortably close to Yow's genitals on more than one occasion.

Hmm. At what distance does one become "comfortably" close to Mr. Yow's yarbles? Do they have an event horizon? Can light itself even escape? Does a spoonful weigh a ton? Is "Mister Yow's Yarbles" an excellent band name?

So there I was, minding my own business, standing in the checkout line at Safeway, when I realized just how uncomfortably close I was to the genitals of the person in line behind me ...

Let us only hope that person was slightly less giving of his/her genital goodness than Mr. Yow was....

Is "Genital Goodness" an excellent band name?
