Really underrated band. Greatest Hits Collection is one o' the best.

I've tried this band twice in the past decade, including buying and listening to most of their albums in the past year alone. I just can't get into 'em. Same with the Stone Roses. Just not hearing it.

noisey creation records (get biff bang pow!) will always find a place alongside san francisco loud jangle pop/rock ala flamin groovies anyday.

Now listening to NO DIRECTION - 2nd LP

Now Biff Bang Pow I do dig. Of course, their records are hard as hell to find in Texas, but I did manage to get a decently priced copy online of that Tristar/Sony comp that came out a decade or so ago (Bertula something?). Great stuff.

The House Of Love reunion album was stellar, IMO.

I know. Old thread. But one that I could NOT pass without commenting.

"Love In A Car" might be my favorite track off that initial HOL LP. Ever notice that in the explosive, noisy 2nd half of "Touch Me," the blueprint for Bicker's next band is basically sketched out complete?

HOL. Really good band. Love the way Guy Chadwick says "It should happen to you" in "Tea In The Sun."

Speaking of which: When the hell is some enterprising label going to do a HOL B-Sides comp? I wanna hear their version of "Strange Brew." Besides that, I'd like a digital version of "I Can't Stand It." Ace cover.

The only live stuff I've heard from House of Love was pretty weak.
