love and will miss ya mitch,

I'm quite certain, through reading & doc U's out there that its safe to say Mitch was unconventional yes, but equally imaginative in his approach to 'fleshing' out a song or thousand.

Mitch Mitchell's death makes the Jimi Hendrix Experience the first extinct rock dinosaur.

This is sad. Mitch was a giant. If 6 was 9 would have been nothing more than a 7.5 with a lesser drummer. That jazzy influence. Cymbals sounded liquid like rain on the plain. Reminds me of...Grant Hart ??

I'd forgotten that Noel Redding had died. So they ARE the first major group all of whose members have died. I thought the Mamas and the Papas would be first to go.

The Ramones made a pretty good run at it but Tommy's apparently hale health stopped it from happening. As the Onion said when Johnny died "Reunion of original Ramones 3/4 complete."
