I luuuuuvvvvvv John Mayer, Gavin Degraw, Jack Johnson & Cobie Caillet

Not really. Just trying to bring in some of those elusive womenfolk Delvin & Erik keep lamenting the absence of.

No offense intended to the fine & intelligent women who do post here. But the unholy quartet in the subject line seem to be the be all & end all in current music for 95% of the women I know.

Out of that crew Jack Johnson is the one that drives me the most insane in the general sense (in the specific sense it's John Mayer's hideous "Daughters" - Grammy for Song of the Year thankyouveryDAMNmuch).

If you literally tried to manufacture an artist for me to hate, you could not do a better job than Johnson. Mellow to the point of lapsing into a coma, a haircut that just screams "this cost me $300 but looks like I did it with a sharp stone because that's more in tune with nature".

His psuedo-mystical Hallmarkisms are brutal enough, but his whole oneness with the universe schtick is the real killer. Plus I kinda hate the beach in general, and his entire beach/surfer/at the campfire with acoustic guitar thing just clashes with my Autumn/Winter/where's my copy of LAMF?/need more accelerants sensibility.

I suppose we could talk about his cool influences that he's never hesistant to mention : Nick Drake, Neil Young, Bob Dylan although I'm not sure what I could say to him except that those guys didn't suck.

I told a friend of mine we couldn't be friends anymore until she quit using Caillet's damn crinkle my nose song as her ringtone.

My ringtone? "Bastards of Young," motherfuckers.

My significant other made me go to a John Mayer concert this summer. Intolerable and smarmy. My pre-assessment: there would be lots of women with compromised musical tastes that had been in love or were currently in love...and their boyfriends.

My hypothesis rang true.

Nevertheless, TP appreciates the diversity recruitment efforts of Breno.

I think the fact of having any ringtone at all is more telling than the actual ringtone itself.

felt like the best time in my life when i had them in the car on the way to the beach. The lyric "i don't want this feeling to end" came on......choked me up

made me feel a little sad when i left them in the car to go into a bar that night................though i did crack the window and left them a couple of granola bars......
