Re-Make / Re-Model

Read Ira's review of the new book about Roxy Music today in the Times. Sounds like a weird tack on some interesting stuff; I'm not terribly knowledgeable about the band but I imagine a more straightforward biography might be more helpful....

It was Ira's review that put me off it. I think a more linear approach would work just fine for this band. I imagine it's a fascinating story no matter how you slice it.

Just read the review on the NYTimes site. Best line: "If this book included a pea soup recipe, it might well begin with a biography of Gregor Mendel."
Sounds more like a companion to a band bio, not an actual look at Roxy themselves.

There's some books about Eno I liked (including his own "A Year") but have there been any books about Roxy?
