Hope he prepares more for the SXSW keynote address than he did the Cohen induction (There's a great band name), otherwise it'll be...

"Uh, yeah....South by Southwest...that's opposite of North by Northwest....I liked Hitchcock....Cary Grant...Eva Marie Saint...Martin Landau...that biplane. So I'm in Austin...think Sterling lived here, didn't he? Texas...the Alamo...the Chamber of Commerce says 'Austin Travel & Tourism. By foot, bike, ground, rail, or air -- find out how to get around town and locate places to stay and places to eat with visiting Austin on business or for pleasure. There are plenty of things to do in Central Texas: attractions for the kids, tours of Austin, train rides, boat rides, dozens of Austin museums and lots of outdoors activities. Explore some of the must-see attractions for visitors and residents alike.' Uh, yeah...some of that sounds cool. ZZ Top. Let's see, the Chamber of Commerce also says 'Where in Texas is Austin? Austin is in Central Texas but central doesn't necessarily translate to the geographical center of the state. Central Texas is south and east of center (if such an irregularly-shaped state can have an easily-identified center). Learn where Austin is located, distances from other Texas cities, and facts and myths about Texas geography.' So that's where it is. Long way from New York. Thanks everybody."

I missed his keynote speech, but I'm told it was more of an interview (by Hal Willner) than a speech and mostly concerned Berlin.

Seems strange to me that Reed would discuss Terri Nunn's band when he has his own career to talk about.

bah-dum-dum-PSSSSHHHH

I'll be here all week; be sure to try the veal and tip your waitress.

He wasn't there last year, either. But the year before, when ...tick...tick...tick got its American release, he was all over the place - I think he played something like 6 gigs in 4 days. I saw three of those gigs - he was amazing every single time.
