I've always meant to listen to this guy. I've listened to many of his "children" - Mark Heard, the Choir, Adam Again, Terry Scott Taylor's various projects, even Randy Stonehill at one point - but never heard the man himself.

He wrote "I Wish We'd All Been Ready," surely the cause of more panic induced conversions to Christianity than just about any other single song. Plus, it gave the LEFT BEHIND series of badly written books their title.

Saw on Pitchfork this morning that Norman was recording an album with Frank Black and Isaac Brock at the time of his death. That's kind of surreal.

Them Changes: Buddy Miles. I once interviewed that guy. I was glad it was on the phone. Heckuva pounder, tho. saw him with the electric flag at M2G opening for someone a zillion years ago.
