Partly because of the movie I'm Not There, I've been thinking of performers who can't give up their Bob Dylan fixations. I'm starting a list. Here goes:
1. Tom Petty
2. Bruce Springsteen
3. William Shatner (The Transformed Man--which time will never erase)
4. Billy Joel (We Didn't Start The Fire gave away his aspirations)
5. John Lennon -- Dylan was a big influence in his later career.
I'm sure I've only touched the tip of the iceburg.
