y'know, i interviewed Arthur 20-plus years ago. he was living in austin, painting houses for a living. an absolute sweetheart of a man with a fine sense of the outrageousness, accomplishment and absurdity of what he'd done in his brief spin as a sensational rock star. i saw him back in the day, and he was great. should've joined up with hawkwind...

i'm really looking forward to this tour when it hits nyc.

He did join up with Hawkwind for a little while a few years ago. I have a DVD (Out of the Shadows) where he fronts them. He didn't sing every song, but he was a definite...presence...throughout.
