Anyone got the 1977 lp of Milk and Cookies?Or anything from the great underrated artist Ian North?Perhaps, there's a Japanese cd reissue, but i'm not sure.

hello everyone, just joined the group and i urge you all to seek out Ian North's first solo album "Neo".........still after all these years one of the great lost albums. His songwriting is brilliant, with particular emphasis on his lyrical themes.....very dark and almost perverse, but very clever. Kidnapping, kamikaze suicide, euthanasia, violence etc. as well as the usual romantic love thingy goings on as well. All wrapped up in a new wave, poppy but sophisticated sheen.

His next record still follows on with bizarre subject matter but this time it really is a solo record.........all home equipment done in his bedroom........mainly synthesizer and a fabulous jacket! In an ideal world these two records would be issued on c.d.!!!

funny you should mention that - i burned a CD of it for a curious friend a couple of months ago. brief but wonderful

Where is Ian North now? What is he up to? I just heard 'Rape of Orchids' - it's great!

I'm replying to myself here, BUT -

It says in the liner notes of the new Milk'n'Cookies reissue that Ian has an album called TORCH SONGS AND ARSON which he's looking to release.

If anyone can help me to have a cd -r copy of the album,it would be very kind.I' m looking for an album copy a lot of time, and i can't stand anymore.Thanks!
