I wondered whatever happened to him. Can't say I've been a fan since I was very young, but I still think it's a shame. It's a terrible way to go.

We did lights for Dan Fogelberg in 1980. The show was just him, a mic, a guitar and a piano. It was actually quite terrific.

Sad that he's gone, especially in such a painful way. Rest In Peace, indeed.

The 70s soft-rock thing was never anything I was much of a fan of, but Fogelberg always seemed like a decent enough guy. I'm surprised he never got rediscovered and embraced by hipsters the same way Bread did a couple years back.

Then again, I'm still awaiting the Bobby Goldsboro and Gilbert O'Sullivan revivals.

Bread was "rediscovered and embraced by hipsters"? When? I missed that. Or maybe I've blocked it from my memory.

Gilbert O'Sullivan revival? Wasn't Pirates of Penzance a big hit on Broadway in the '80s?

There was a compilation called FRIENDS AND LOVERS: SONGS OF BREAD that came out a couple of years ago. It was actually pretty good.
