Boy Waiting?

Hello all,
I am looking for any info anyone might have on the band Boy Waiting. They had a Top 106 hit in 1984 on KROQ with a song supposedly called "Girl Waiting." Me and a bunch of other new wave geeks have been trying to find this for a long, long time now. We know there was a 7" called "Where Did All the Boys Go," but the b-side wasn't the song we are all looking for.

Any help as to where this band was from, who the members were, or even if anyone can even remember the song from back in KROQ's heyday, would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried contacting theidealcopy.com or flashbackalternatives.com? They specialize in 80s music - neither site mentions them, but someone there might know something about them. Otherwise, the only place they turn up on the web seems to be the KROQ list they were on, where they are probably the most obscure thing listed:

On a sad side note, I've realized that I can call up snippets of at least 101 of the songs on this list in my head. If only that space in my brain could be harnessed for the good of mankind.

Boy Waiting are one of the five bands listed I'm totally in the dark on.

I really appreicate your help here. We got some info today from someone who worked at KROQ back in the day. Turns out the song never really existed. It was a crappy demo that one d.j. played a couple of times because he was related to someone in the band. It made the end-of-the-year countdown because the d.j. put it there.

I'm the singer from Boy Waiting!! The song Girl Waiting was never recorded because of contract problems. It was one of our most popular songs live & I'm glad to hear someone out there still remembers us. The B side of our 1 and only single is called Time and was released as a European import. Any more questions??

What did you do (musically) after Boy Waiting?
Is it now possible to post the demo?
