            <description><![CDATA[ &gt; Usually <i>Bowie Guitarists</i> get high profiles as a result of their service but I can&#039;t say that happened with Gardiner.<br />

I recall an article commenting that Gardiner was invited back to the studio for the recording of <i>Heroes</i>, but found that invitation rescinded when he asked for more money.<br />

            <description><![CDATA[ Damn! I have just been in a &quot;Low&quot; phase and was contemplating a &quot;Lust For Life&quot; phase next. Was thinking of how Gardiner was a Bowie guitarist who lived in the margins. Usually <i>Bowie Guitarists</i> get high profiles as a result of their service but I can&#039;t say that happened with Gardiner. The bulk of his work was with Beggars Opera before Bowie/Pop then afterward…not much of anything! His website said he was suffering from Parkinson&#039;s for the last 12 years. That&#039;s sad.]]></description>
