...1983? Howzat, when the magazine was started in '74? Yes, I admit, my friends and I did use to refer to the TP books as 'the bible' in the '80s, but the magazine was an important part of the TP heritage, is prominently featured on this website, and Ira adds entire edition scans of the mag to the TP Facebook page.

Change the year, I sez!

Keeping with the theme, wouldn't one consider the magazine as the Dead Sea scrolls?

Given that everything in the TP is basically true, I don't think it's an apt comparison.

I prefer to refer to them as "The Joy Of Cooking of Alternative Rock."
