Awww, I'll be back in CO when they come through Seattle. And I won't get back to CO in time to catch the Denver show. (Not the first time that such a schedule disconnect has affected me.)

Oh well, the trip is more important. My parents' 60th anniversary will only happen once.

Exciting. I have never seen them and a few nights ago - thinking about politics, I think - the lyrics to "Forgotten Years" started going through my head, and I got kinda emotional.

Not coming to Texas, I see. I don't blame them.

I saw them back in 1990 at the Cynthia Woodlands Pavilion near Houston, with Hunters & Collectors opening. It's a beautiful outdoor theater; we sat on a hillside and had our socks rocked off. I did wonder why their T-shirts were $10 more than everybody else's ($25 was a lot of money for me at the time), but I wore it proudly for many years, until middle-aged spread meant I outgrew it.

They are a band that asks the important questions.

How can we dance when the earth keeps turning?
How do we sleep while our beds are burning?

Who got tickets for the tour? I got two for Silver Spring, and now it seems that they move some shows to larger venues due to the rapid sellouts.

Good for them! I'm sure Peter Garrett has LOTS to sing about in America this year. Hopefully, they won't have their work visas denied.

Good to hear - Michael! I'll be joining you at the Fillmore - it will be crowded!

Aw, you're being too pessimistic, PPM - Wasn't last night's speech supposed to show we're now a kinder, gentler nation? He's probably worried about what Mr. Garrett was going to say.

They caught the locals off guard at the Marrickville Bowling Club in Sydney's inner west on Sunday afternoon with a short but from all accounts, powerful set as a warm up.

1. Pictures

2. Too Much Sunshine

3. Progress

4. Burnie

5. Renaissance Man

6. Say Your Prayers

7. Best of Both Worlds

8. Forgotten Years

9. Dreamworld

10. King of the Mountain

That's a rocking set. Kicking off with "Pictures" quite awesome, IMO. I'm going to see if there is video available.

[pause while I search]

Of course there is!
