 More 2012 (Quarter 2)

I've been really enjoying the Frank and Walters' "Greenwich Mean Time" LP. The track "Indie Love Song" is such a perfect slice of guitar-chimey indie pop that one will either instantly love it or suspiciously push it away. (The wistful, upbeat, country-tinged "Loneliness and Sweet Romance" is great as well.)

I also really like the Eight and a Half album (another offshoot of Broken Social Scene--though since I only like really early BSS, I haven't troubled myself to family-tree it that closely. It's got one dude from BSS and two from the Stills--that's as much as I care to know). Great album though. . . five stone-cold winning tunes here, imo: "Scissors," "The Turn Around," "Go Ego," "Took a Train to India," "Walked into Diazepene." Melancholy, pretty electro-pop.
